My Beautiful Snow Angel of 2011!!
I thought God gave me a great canvas for a piece of art. God thought again and wiped it out with wind less than 90 minutes later. But that was ok. I had pictures.
It's been in the news for days....... they have been telling us to prepare. Ice, snow and Artic air mass. The decision was made to close post Monday afternoon. I got home about 7:00 pm and it was so foggy. No rain, ice or snow. The pellety icey stuff started about 3 am. snow about 7 am.
The snow is just about passed and we have 7 inches. I can't complain about that when family and friends in the northeast (Connecticut & Massachusetts) are dealing with an official 71 inches in just over a month. With no melt time in between. Though a friend from Florida will probably be going to Dairy Queen for his Blizzard with Reese Pieces.
Seven inches is not that much but for here it has closed many schools for a second day, post for a second day, interstates both in the northern part of the state and in the western part of the state. I had to go outside and play so I made the snow angel above. The pod looked cold............. snow all around it. But that cougar looked so pretty.

I wonder how the animals at Turpentine Creek http://www.turpentinecreek.org/ are. It is an awesome place to camp. I am going to try to do some volunteer work down there this spring and maybe fall. There are hundreds of Animals, Big Cats Mostly, but I liked Bam Bam too. Here are a few of the animals:

We will take a day trip to there on our first weekend out. I have read many blogs about camping / full timing in the cold. Think I will skip that.................... and head to Arizona or Florida.
Safe Travels.................. Remember Spring is on the way................!!
I loved your opening sentences.
ReplyDeleteI never heard of the place with the animals. Sounds like a place I'd enjoy too.
